Prototype for a Mobile Collaborative Augmented Reality Application of the Game Checkers

Abstract

Currently, mobile devices enjoy great popularity and have increasingly better technological capabilities that enable them as adequate devices to run augmented reality applications and collaborative augmented reality applications as well; therefore, the development and use of this type of applications are growing. In recent decades, projects of this nature have been carried out in applications as diverse as: education, entertainment, medicine, mathematics, design, etc. The objective of this project is to develop a prototype of a mobile entertainment application for the checkers game using collaborative augmented reality in order to promote the development of videogames made with this technology and its use as a means of social interaction.
