This paper describes the process and analysis followed
to implement a 4-DoF Stewart platform for driving
simulations. This is proposed as an alternative so the user is able
to develop the necessary dexterity, skills, and experience without
the risks that entail direct training programs. With the use of
simulation software, F1 2020 by developers Codemasters, data
such as roll, pitch, yaw, and heave are extracted and transmitted
by UDP protocol to a host. A receival algorithm is coded and
gathers the information sent by the simulation software. The
data then is interpreted, catalogued, stored, and relayed to a
set of kinematic and dynamic equations. Thus calculating the
angles in both radians, for result analysis, and degrees for the
actuators. The results obtained prove that the platform follows
closely the data obtained from the software simulation, with
minimal differences.
