dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship, a multidimensional construct, has been approached from different angles and paradigms. From the technical side, there are multiple diagnostic tools to analyze and elaborate an entrepreneurial project. From the individual’s side, the psychology of entrepreneurship had used various tests to investigate different aspects of the entrepreneur, his personality, cognitive processes, competencies, even the so-called dark triad of personality. However, they are all cross-sectional in nature. Because of a literature review, from an abductive process (Tavory & Timmermans, 2014), and in line with Welter and Gardner (2017), who have initiated a call to deepen the study of entrepreneurship from the context, and with the goal of improving the selection and support of future entrepreneurs and their projects, it is proposed to use the clinical history process, widely used in psychology, as a tool that might help to know in a historical way the entrepreneur. The proposed adaptation of it to entrepreneurship suggests that the probability of success of the stakeholders (entrepreneur, incubator, government, investors) involved in supporting the project can be increased.
