Multifocal epithelial hyperplasia (MEH) is a benign mucous asymptomatic hyperplasia that emphasizes multiple lesions related to infection by human papillomavirus (HVP), and is associated with 13 and 32 genotypes. It affects children
and young adults of specific ethnicities and locations. However, it has also been observed in adults. Factor risks associated with it are low socioeconomic status, overcrowding, malnutrition, poor hygiene, genetic susceptibility, and immunosuppression.
