Resumen
A new species of Macbrideola from Mexico is described and illustrated herein. It is characterized by a
short stipe, persistent peridium with silver metallic tones and an internally smooth surface, and spores
ornamented with spines with small warts at the apex; these are visible to the SEM and give it a short coralloid aspect. It is compared with other morphologically similar species. We provide micrographs of the most important characters as observed under LM and SEM
